Shared with me about three years ago, these dates make for a perfect last-minute appetizer, or an indulgent snack you can keep all for yourself!

What you'll love about these dates:

  • You only need 3 ingredients

  • It only takes eight minutes in the oven

  • What's not to love about food with honey drizzled on top?!

  • The number of "hot date" jokes you can make

Ingredients:

Medjool Dates, sliced in half lengthwise, seed removed

Goat cheese (both plain, and herb are delicious)

Honey

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Slice dates in half lengthwise with a pairing knife, and if not already pitted, remove the seed from inside.

  3. Lay date halves cut side up onto a baking sheet.

  4. Break off chunks of goat cheese and press it into the inside of each date half.

  5. Bake in the oven for 8 minutes

  6. Take dates out of the oven and drizzle with honey. They are best served warm.
